Godley Head (Walking Track) 30 min drive from Kiwi House

Just past Sumner beach, after passing the hill, there is a bay named "Taylor's Mistake". In summer, many local surfers come to enjoy the hot weather and lovely bay. Located by Taylor's mistake, is Godley heads, a well maintenanced walking track open to the public. Anybody can enjoy this walk and also admire the view as they go. Between 2-4 hours for return.

Diamond Harbar 30 min drive from Kiwi House

Diamond Harbour and surrounding districts are located on beautiful Banks Peninsula, on the South Island of New Zealand, about 45 minutes from the city of Christchurch. How to Get Here The Black Cat Ferry This service connects Lyttelton with Diamond Harbour. B jetty can be reached using the special RedBus 28 service. If you don't mind a 200m or so walk across the overpass and along Norwich Quay, then either the full RedBus 28 or Leopard 35 bus services offer a wider service. For those with a metrocard travelling from Christchurch, remember to ask for 3 zones to be taken *before* presenting your card. The ferry does this automatically on your return.

Summit road gondra AP 30 min drive from Kiwi House

The Christchurch Gondola takes visitors up the port hills between Christchurch and Lyttelton Harbour. From the top spectacular views both over the city towards the Southern Alps and in the other direction over Lyttelton Habour.

Inland Scenic Route 72 (Drive)

If you want to take a nice little trip out of Christchurch, how about taking a drive to Oxford city? Drive along the dotted line where the Canterbury Plains meet the Southern Alps and find a rare kind of heaven. Enjoy the drive with the typical New Zealand "country side" scenery, with farms in the area and a view of the Southen Alps. On the way to Oxford , you may see a small town where many cute small houses down this street, as well as a cafe named "Route 72"
